Getting Started

Custom Helmet Painting is subjectively created for each individual. We need to speak to you, discuss designs you've seen, colors you're considering, ideas you'd like to implement, etc. This requires lots of thought on your side and a subsequent telephone conversation with us. Feel free to contact us for initial information at: savage@savagedesigns.com but please realize we will need to speak to you at some point. Rush services are available for an additional charge. And definitely call us for further information.

Prepping

For best results, we prefer beginning with a new, white helmet. That said, we can work with your current, used helmet regardless of color or decal content for an additional charge. Please do not perform any advance prep work, such as sanding or molding removal. You may actually harm the integrity of your helmet and we may have to charge to "undo" your work!

New Helmets

We stock most current models of Shoei, Bell, Arai helmets. Please note that helmet fit is critical to safety. Make sure you've actually tested the EXACT model and size you want us to paint. This custom work is obviously not refundable.

Pricing

Pricing is completely dependent on the design, colors and materials you'd like us to use. What you see on this site provides with a guideline, although the exact helmets described here are available for that exact price. Most likely you will want some level of personalization and pricing will vary accordingly.

Payment

The first step is of course to have a helmet. If you provide one then all we require to get started is a 50% deposit. If you don't have a helmet and you want us to acquire one for you, the helmet will have to be purchased 100% and then we would require the 50% deposit for the actual customization. We accept Visa, Master Card, check, or money order. Contact us for international orders.
